Hinweise zur Barrierefreiheit
Neues Schloss
The amenities in the New Castle do offer full accessibility for the disabled (e.g. wheelchair-bound visitors). Access to the handicapped-accessible parking lot is via Roßmühlstraße (see map on the right or as PDF-Download here). Please understand that this parking facility is only available to visitors who can present a valid blue ID with the aG mark (exceptional walking disability) or the mark Bl (blind). The parking lot can only be used until 5.30 p.m. You will also find disabled-accessible parking spaces at Paradeplatz, from which you can get into the building without barriers via the castle courtyard (approx. 150 m). There is a lift there that can take you to the various floors of the castle. Ramps inside make it possible to overcome steps and door thresholds. A handicapped accessible toilet is available in the basement.
Reduit Tilly
In the Reduit Tilly, wheelchair-bound visitors can use ramps and lifts to reach all the rooms with exhibits. Toilet facilities for the disabled are available on the ground floor and 1st upper floor. There is no parking at the Reduit Tilly. The best way is to use the underground car park "Tilly".
The footpath between the New Castle and Reduit Tilly can be used, but is not recommended for wheelchair users.
Turm Triva
